London wedding and event linen hire

ALBA hires pure linen and bespoke tablecloths, patterned napkins and floor-length cloths for weddings and private events across London, from Clerkenwell and the City to Notting Hill and Hampton Court. We have dressed long dinner tables at Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell with Studio Sorores, and our linen is sent from the Cotswolds by tracked courier or, for larger events, brought in by our own team.

London weddings are often about contrast: a former courthouse, a chapel or a converted warehouse, softened by candlelight and a beautifully laid table. Linen does that work. It brings warmth to grand rooms and quiet luxury to industrial ones, and it photographs with a depth that synthetic cloths cannot match.

In summer 2026 we dressed the wedding dinner at Old Sessions House, the eighteenth-century courthouse on Clerkenwell Green, for a celebration planned and designed by Studio Sorores and photographed by Daniel Knight Harris. Three long rows of tables seated 120 guests in the Great Room beneath its chandelier, laid with bespoke ivory satin cloths, each finished with a gathered skirt that fell to the floor, and matching napkins we made for the day. We delivered, set up and steamed every cloth on site before the florists arrived.

We have also styled tables for editorial shoots in London, including a candlelit dinner at The Franklin with Katie Julia.

How it works in London. Linen and other non-breakable items normally travel by FedEx courier, with tracking and a printed returns label, which keeps costs down and delivery efficient. Deliveries arrive Monday to Friday between 9am and 5:30pm to a ground-floor or loading area, with a named contact on site. For larger events, our own team can deliver, set up and steam on site, quoted per event, as we did at Old Sessions House. How is the linen delivered and returned?

Our linen travels by FedEx courier with tracking, and every order includes a printed returns label, so packing it up after the event is simple. Deliveries and collections run Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, to a ground-floor or loading area, and we need a named contact on site. We never promise next-day delivery; we plan dispatch around your event date when we confirm the order.

How long is the hire, and when should we book?

The standard hire period is three days, which comfortably covers a Friday delivery and a Monday return. Quotes are held for four weeks, a 60% deposit secures the stock, and the balance is due six weeks before the event. Popular patterns go early for summer weekends, so it is worth enquiring as soon as you have a date.

Do your tablecloths reach the floor?

Yes. Our cloths are cut generously so that trestles and rounds can be dressed to the floor, which is the look most planners ask us for. As a guide, 5ft to 6ft rounds take our 132" round cloth. Use the size calculator or the size guide to match a cloth to your tables.

Can you make bespoke tablecloths?

Yes. Alongside our pure linen and patterned collections, we make bespoke cloths and napkins to order, from gathered satin skirts to custom sizes for unusual tables. Tell us about the room and we will advise.
