Lead times for made-to-order & made-to-measure linen
Pure linen napkins usually take about three to four weeks. Floor-length tablecloths are made to order by specialist makers overseas — about three months’ notice. Smaller pieces sit between the two.
Questions about bespoke linen
Can ALBA make a tablecloth that is not in the hire collection?
Yes. Our bespoke design and sourcing service covers custom tablecloths and napkins, gathered or ruffled skirts, brand colours, unusual sizes and finishing details, agreed to a brief before we cut.
Are the Came House ruffle cloths available to hire?
Those silver-grey satin drop-hem ruffle cloths were made by ALBA for the Came House editorial. Similar pieces can be commissioned — they are not standard hire stock.
Can you make cloths in a brand colour?
Yes. Brand-colour event linen for agencies and press dinners is agreed account by account — share the brief early so we can source the fabric.
How long does a bespoke commission take?
Pure linen napkins usually take about three to four weeks. Floor-length tablecloths are made to order by specialist makers overseas and need about three months’ notice. Confirm timing with your quote as soon as you have a date.
Can I see samples or visit the showroom first?
Yes. Napkin and linen samples are £5 flat rate, or book a showroom consultation or Zoom at our Cotswolds studio in Rendcomb.
Do you make pure linen rounds to order?
Our hire pure linen is plain-colour trestle cloths. Round cloths and satin finishes are separate ranges — tell us what you need and we will advise.
